Blackjack Betting

To be a successful unibet wedden blackjack player you need to understand the betting element of the game. Indeed, while it’s relatively simple to grasp the concept of placing a minimum wager and waiting for some cards, there are other betting factors you need to appreciate.

The initial betting consideration you need to take into account at the unibet casino blackjack table is the minimum and maximum wagers. Each casino will have its own betting limits and will usually spread a variety of blackjack games aimed at different bankrolls.

Generally in a brick and mortar casino you’ll find that the average minimum bet at a blackjack table ranges from $10 to $50. At an online casino the limits are usually much lower with minimum bets starting at $0.50 to $1. Establishing which table will give you the most bang for your buck is important. Indeed, if your starting bankroll is $500 then it doesn’t make sense to play at a table where the smallest bet allowed is $50, as a rush of negative variance will send you bust in just 10 hands.

Considering the maximum bet is also important because a strong run at the table may mean that you want to increase your bets in order to capitalise on your run of positive variance and make more money. Thus, you need to assess the blackjack table against your bankroll in order to achieve the greatest success.

Once you’re in the game, there are two additional betting options available beyond your opening bet. The first is a “double down” bet which simply means matching your initial stake and taking just one more card. For example, if you bet $10 at the start of the hand and wanted to “double down”, you’d need to put another $10 in the pot. Players usually “double down” when they have a strong starting hand (9, 10 or 11) and the dealer is weak (12, 13, 14 or 15).

The other betting option at the blackjack table is “splitting”. When you’re dealt cards of the same value, i.e. two 10s, you are able to split them into two separate starting hands and receive a card on each. This requires you to match your first bet. After splitting, the hand continues as before with the options of standing, hitting, doubling or splitting again (if appropriate).
